Im very sad to say this will be the last time I will be uploading my sketches here :( But it has been an awesome journey for me as a sketchie and I always loved working with the sketch team right from the start all the sketchies have always been awesome.

Massive thanks to all the girls for all their heard work each week and for always making my sketches look so good *mwah* and {hugs} to Sara,Ali,Kerry,Hilde,Ilona and to the fabulous boss lady Lana :)

Hi guys,

Boy am I glad that Krissy got on last week and let the news out - I so didn't want to be the one to share those sad tidings. But as Krissy said, she will be sharing her sketches at her site, so please visit Wicked Princesses for continued inspiration. :)

Hi everyone :-)

This post is to let you all know that the last sketch for April will be our last for the CISters stylish sketch blog :-( We have loved providing you all with sketchy inspiration through the sketches and examples each week but the time has come to move on.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lana for letting me be the sketch designer for the blog, Sara,Ali,Kerry,Hilde and Ilona for always providing beautiful work using my sketches :) You girls are fandabbydosey and it has been an honour working with you all :-)

Sara will be back next week with a sketch then I will be doing the final post......

Hey ladies!

Were has the time gone? Already a quarter of the year over? How did that happen? :)

Here is another great sketch from Krissy - who always amazes me with her originality -

And here is my layout for the week - another baby girl one - entitled Thank Heaven for Little Girls :) As soon as I found out we were having a girl I went shopping and this is the dress I bought to celebrate the news - doesn't she look cute in it? :)

Next up we have a boyish layout by Ilona, entitled Monkey Business - love that dinosaur and the cheeky monkeys!

And lastly a gorgeous layout from Kerry with a vintage feel to it, entitled 'Unique'. Once more I love Kerry's use of embellishments and how she has rotated the sketch. :)

Hiya CISters :) Hope you are all well :) Ive designed this sketch to inspire you all and the sketchies have done another fab job creating gorgeous layouts based on it :)

I rotated the sketch for my example " Hepilytopla" My niece (aged 4) had a little trouble with the word helicopter lol I couldnt resist using it for the title :)

Hildes gorgeous LO about her dog :) Love these colours Hilde!

2nd Sketch for March

Time is flying by, and before we know it Easter will be here and the kids will be on holidays again (here in Aus, at least). :)

Here is another great sketch from Krissy this week -

First up we have Ilona's lovely layout, entitled 'My Bicycle'. A lovely soft girly layout from Ilona, where she has tilted more than just the main photo.

Next is Kerry's rotated layout, entitled 'Explore' = love the colours in this one and the funky page border. Kerry always uses great embies too!

And lastly my layout - a bit more masculine one this week, although still baby orientated, entitled "Dad's Treasures". I converted the circle to a photo to include both our children. :)

Hi ladies!

Can't believe a fortnight has passed already. Where did the time go? For me it was probably spent looking into my baby's eyes and wondering what the future holds.

Here is this week's fab sketch from Krissy - a great two photo sketch that each of us has adapted differently to suit our chosen pics.

First up we have Ilona's lovely layout - entitled 'Dream On' - love the car emby and how it ties into the photos. I also love her chipboard flourish.

Next we have Kerry's gorgeous take on the sketch - entitled 'Poser' - love the embellishments she has used. Kerry has gone with a lovely gem flourish.

Lastly here is my layout, entitled 'Sweet Dreamer'. As always, I have kept it simple. :) I have used Kindy Glitz for my freehand flourish.

Hi sketch fans!

My sincerest apologies for posting this a day late - my beautiful baby girl was born last Friday and since then I have suffered from migraines (due to lack of sleep, I'm sure) which have limited my computer time. I promise to be more organised from now on.

Here is Krissy's wonderful sketch - a 2 photo design that just falls together.

And here is my first layout showing my two blessings. ' I Adore You' is about the way my son loves his little sister already. :) The Love Bandit range suits the sentiment so well. :)

Next up is Kerry's layout entitled 'Goof Ball' showing a different take on the sketch - I love the elements Kerry always pulls together.

And finally Ilona's layout entitled 'A Pose in the Snow' - gorgeous bright colours for a wintery layout. :)

Hi everyone,

Hope the start to the New Year has been good to you - especially scrapping wise. :) This week we have a great two photo sketch from our sketch queen Krissy - enjoy! :)

First up we have Ilona's take on the sketch - Ilona has adapted the sketch to use one large photo - love the pic and the embies she has used. Such a cute little monster. :)

Next up is Kerry's take on the sketch - some fun family photos using a great earth toned palette of colours.

For my layout, I've chosen to rotate the sketch to suit portrait pics. I've also used one of my favourite colour palettes - deep red, chocolate brown and green. :)

Hey ladies! Only 14 sleeps 'til Christmas, and only 21 'til the year is over. Time sure is flying by! Hope you are managing to keep your sanity by fitting in as much scrapping as you can. :) Here is Krissy's fabulous sketch for this week - a great two photo layout.

First up we have Ilona's layout with her super cute robot additions to this layout about her son at the playground.

Next up is Kerry's boyish layout - also showing her son at the park:

And just by coincidence, I have also scrapped photos of my son at the park. LOL! We must have all been thinking along the same lines when we sat down to create with this sketch. At least my theme was a little different than playing at the park. :)

Wow - another week has passed and we are another week closer to Christmas and the end of the year. I hope everyone is getting lots of scrapping done before the silly season hits. :) This week we have another fab sketch from Krissy and some wonderful inspiration from the girls on my team. :) The sketch is made using Jessica Sprague goodies.

First up we have Kerry's gorgeous take on the sketch. I just love Kerry's ability to match everything together and such a sweet photo!

Next up is Ilona's Say Cheese layout - a very cute layout featuring her munchkins. :)

And lastly, a simple one from me celebrating the relationship between my son and our dog, who unfortunately just can't keep up with him (ds is 4 and Buddy is 15). Using the gorgeous Earth Love papers from CIS.

On a very sad note, Lana is closing the CIS store, so be sure and check out the bargains to be had. She is preparing to spend more time on her private life. The good news is that the sketch blog will remain for your inspirational pleasure. :)

Hilde has done 2 examples this week! The first is an OTP using the sketch to decorate the top.This from Hilde "We’re celebrating Father’s Day this Sunday, here in Norway. The November Sketch #3 is perfect not only for layouts, but for altering boxes, too, and I made this box for my DH (attached image). The character on the box is a Norwegian cartoon character called Pondus, a beer drinking soccer fan, not unlike my hubby. Pondus is made by paper piecing."

Hi again everyone! So nice to see you here for your weekly dose of inspiration. :)

Here is Krissy's fabulous sketch for this week - a double, or is it? :)

Kerry took on the challenge of creating a double layout and has done a fantastic job, I'm sure you'll agree? I love the textural elements she has brought to the layout, entitled 'Footy'.

Next up Ilona tackled the sketch as a 6" x 12" layout, with fabulous results - as shown in her Sunshine Girl layout, where not every space is a photo. Ilona created two layouts so if you check out the gallery at CIS, she may well share her second LO there for more inspiration. :)

And lastly, here is my layout for this week - I adapted the sketch to create a 12"x12" layout using some pics of my baby girl taken at the weekend. It was amazing for the whole family and ds to see. :) I've used the gorgeous Earth Love papers from CIS - just love the fall tones of this range!

Ali's LO "A little bit fancy" showcases some super cool distressing and the fact that her son has a burger with the same name as him ....how cool is that!!Im so jealous Angus! lolFab work Ali!
This is my example :) Lana sent me these Kaiser papers from the Q2 collection and they where perfect for my LO about my nephew Josh :) I had heaps of fun with this LO :D

This sketch of Krissy's is quite funky and geometric in design and is made using the free Kaiser digi kit.

First up we have the lovely Ilona's first layout for the team. Ilona has made use of Krissy's geometric shapes to include some of her own, which looks great.

Next up we have Kerry's layout, the very cute "My Little Guy". Kerry has shown the versatility of the sketch by rotating it to best suit her photos.

Hilde has also had a play with the sketch this week, and come up with this brilliant layout about a day at the local airshow. Love how the geometric design plays so well in her layout.

And lastly my bright and fun layout about my son and the relationship he has with his cousin and Poppy. I've made use of some of the bright and fun Lime Rickey and Lemonade papers from CIS.

Hiya CISters :D Welcome to another sketch for September!Wow cant believe how quickly this year is going :O

This is the sketch I created for this week using digital elements from Jessica Sprague and Shabby Princess.Hope you all like it!I love how different all of our examples are each week :)

This is my example "backyard cricket" Ive had these photos for ages and this sketch was perfect for them :D I used 2 smaller pic's instead of one large portrait photo.

This is Ali's gorgeous LO "Summer" Love the colours Ali and what cool braids :) Thanks Ali!
This week Hilde has used the sketch to create some gorgeous cards Hilde said this "This time I chose to make cards with your sketch. I have two boys myself, so when I have the opportunity to go wild with pink and bling, I have a ball! BTW, the base of both the cards are made with journaling notes from Prima. Making cards of those notes are a great if you get tired of them – or have used them on “every” layout."Awesome thanks Hilde :)
We also have a LO from Kerry this week :) I love that photo!Gorgeous colours too :) Thanks Kerry!

Hi everyone,

Here's another great sketch from Krissy that we have all loved putting our own touches on for you.

First up we have Kerryn's last sketch team layout. :( Ilona stepped into the sketch team when Kerryn became a DT member, but Kerryn volunteered to give Ilona a bit of breathing room and create one last sketch for the team. So here is her wonderful layout Chuggin' Along -

Secondly we have Kerry's first sketch team layout - I Love UR Smile. Isn't it gorgeous? Love the colours, the felt heart in the title and the little embies above the felt border. Too cute!

And lastly my take on the sketch - Look Mum, I Can Ride. Mason loves his new bike, so I couldn't resist scrapping these pics and using the yummy BG Lemonade and Lime Rickey papers from CIS.

Hi everyone!

I'm Sara, former member of the lovely Kerryn's half of the sketch team, and now lucky enough to be heading up half the team along with the other gorgeous leader Krissy who inspires us all each week with her sketches. I'd like to introduce the two new lovely ladies who make up my half of the sketch team - Kerry Snell and Ilona Siewert.

Kerry is no stranger to the sketch blog, having being a very wonderful guest team member during August. Kerry is a SAHM with 2 gorgeous children Hayden and Makayla and she has been married for 12years to her dh Chris. She lives in Victoria.

Kerry says her style of scrapping tends to change a bit depending on what she is doing. She doesn't know how to label her style but loves to use layers of paper,dimension of whatever is possible and she loves her distresser.

Kerry is very much looking forward to inspiring everyone with her takes on Krissy's sketches each week.

Ilona is married to Patrick and has two children - Cheverny and Jayden. She has been scrapping for about 4 years and loves that it is never boring. She scraps layouts mainly about her children, and has a love of sketches. She lives in Holland.

Welcome to another update of our sketchblog :D This month is a very special month as we welcome to our sketchie family some fandabbydosey sketchie girls :) So today is the first of our introductions of our new girls :) This week I am introducing the girls who will be on my team and next week Sara will be introducing the girls on her team :)

"Hi!

My name is Hilde Aaslund, also known as Scoobie from a number of boards and my blog. I live in the southern part of Norway and I must confess I am addicted to card making and scrapping.

I’m married to Cliff, the proud mum of two boys, 7 and 10 years old, and I work full time as an engineer at a construction site. I have to English Cocker Spaniels, both of them trained in agility and I am an agility instructor as well once a week. As this wasn’t enough I have a cat and a garden I love working in.

I’m so proud to be part of this great CIS Sketch Team. I find working with sketches very important for developing my skills and a great excuse to go “outside my box”."

July is almost over, and so is the opportunity to get your applications in for the Sketch Blog DT call. If you are looking for a bit more inspiration for a last minute entry, we have two more sketches to share before the month is out.

Today, I have this sketch to share with you. I LOVE using circles on layouts :).

My example layout featuring moi. I was captured by a friend while scrapbooking on a retreat we went to in March.

The Sketch DT call is open until 31 July, so if you haven't already there is still plenty of time to get your applications in. All the details are in the forum.

Hiya sketch fans! Another Friday, another sketch!

A gorgeous sketch provided once again by Krissy.

Using some fabulous bright Lime Rickey papers from CIS, Sara has created an awesome layout highlighting a very funny photo.

I love the things their grandparents teach them...NOT! LOL

I've used my DD's first school photo from last year on my layout.

I can't believe this was almost a year ago! She is just about to have her next photo taken... YIKES!

Here is Sara's take on the sketch for this week. Our email accounts decided not to communicate with each other but luckily we have found an alternative way to get it up here. The colours are just so perfect together and how cute is the photo!!!

I have rotated the sketch (and used a bit of creative license) to create this layout. My DD often says "da-ddy" like it's two words when she is being silly with him.

Another week has flown by so that means we have some more sketchy inspiration to share with you. (I'm a little early but I have a big day tomorrow so better early than late :) ).

Here is this weeks gorgeous sketch from Krissy. Love the strips behind the photo! So many possibilities....

Sara has used beautiful Basic Grey Wisteria papers (available from the CIS shop) for her example. They suit the gorgeous photo perfectly!

For my example, I've done a little twist on the paper strip by angling one end. Oh, the possibilities!

Hope you're feeling inspired! As always, use any of the sketches from June and upload it to the CIS gallery to be in the running for this months prize.

Yay its sketch day!Hiya CISters :D Im back with another sketch to inspire you all and some sketchie examples from Lana and I :D My sketch was created using digi kits from Jessica Sprague and shabby princesses........I got some new kits this week so look out next months sketches are very noice lol

Lana has created the gorgeous "two little doggies" so beautiful Lana :) Lana has used the sass lass vintage range whic is available instore now........I think I might have to go shopping because they look so nice!

This is my LO "U will always be bubs" about my gorgeous nephew Josh and how embarassed he gets when I forget and call him bubs in front of his mates LOL oops bad Auntie LOL

OK so I told a little fib last week. Krissy is not doing the update this week, I am afraid you are stuck with me again (it has absolutely NOTHING to do with Krissy and I totally forgetting that we needed one more sketch for May ;) - honest!!! ) :)

So this is the sketch to get your creative juices flowing.

To show you just how versatile the sketches are, Sara has created this cute card. The paper and pearls are from CIS.

Lana has created this gorgeous page of one of her favourite subjects using the sketch.

Look at this gorgeous and bright layout Krissy created based on her sketch. Perfect use of "white space". Love it!

To suit my photo I rotated the sketch. Once again I have used a journal spot in place of the second smaller photo.

So that's it for May! Hasn't that flown. You still have a couple of days if you want to use this sketch to enter the May sketch challenge.

Me again :). Here is our fabulous sketch for this week. Another gorgeous creation from Krissy using bits from Shabby Princess.

A great sketch to highlight a single photo.

Here is Sara's gorgeous layout. Sara has used some yummy 7 Gypsies paper and flowers from CIS as well as some other goodies from her stash. Such a gorgeous photo!

Lana sent me with some yummy bright Chatterbox papers to work with. The large flower also came from CIS.

Hiya everyone, this week I'm updating the Sketch Blog :). Krissy and I will be taking it in turns from now on so hopefully I can do it half as well as she has!

Krissy has created this fantastic multi-photo sketch to inspire you. ETA Krissy used a kit from Shabby Princess to create this sketch :).

We would love to see more people using Krissy's wonderful sketches, so to be eligible for the May sketch prize you can use ANY of the May sketches. You can use 1 or you can use all of them but it's your choice! Just upload your layouts to the relevant thread in the forum to be in the running for this months prize. Make sure you let us know which sketch you have used when you upload :).

Sara has used the sketch to create a gorgeous multi-photo layout. I love how she has used the lines from the top corner to add extra journalling :).

I stayed with one large photo but used a chipboard block in place of one of the photos. That's the great thing about sketches, it's up to you how you interpret it!

Lana's lovely LO "Escapee cat" I love the colours and those butterflies are devine!That measuring tape rocks :D

Kerryn created the fabulous "A penny for your thoughts" Such a cute photo and love that you rotated the sketch to make it your own :D

Welcome to CISters stylish sketches!We are back after a little break :) Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Years! There have been a few changes to the team since last year.....we have combined with our talented card DT!! Ally has created this fabulous sketch to inspire you all and we have some new rules for the sketch challenges!

Basically each month to be eligible for a prize you need to create both a LO and a card using the same sketch. You will need to upload to the forum so that the team can cast a vote. This months prize is a Simple Scrapbooks Special Issues titled Shortcuts with quizzes and Questions. This is a fabulous book filled to the brim with LO ideas and tonnes of journaling prompts.

Date for upload will be February the 28th for the monthly challenge (LO and card)

Each consecutive week a sketch and samples will be uploaded purely for inspiration sake. These wont be prize driven :)

Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful start of this spring. Plenty of photo opportunities especially here in Canberra with the Floriade happening!! I'll make sure to have my camera with me when are going to enjoy all the gorgeous flowers there.

Hi I'm Laura. I'm a stay at home mum to my wonderful children, Kaytie and Luke. They are my inspiration for my scrapping creations. I have been scrapping for about 4 years but more seriously this year. I love the CIS community and have learnt so many things here and all the girls are great! We have the new monthly sketch challenge for you today. A sketch by me (Manon) for you to play with. Hope you like it.

A hint, the photo's are wallet size. Some programs (like picasa) print pictures at a larger wallet size, if that's the case for you then tick the box "shrink to fit".

Feel free to change it around a bit and make it your own. As long as you stick to the sketch we're happy!
